Week 8 Pick Results and Insights

We enjoyed our best performance yet, which has now been surpassed by an even better week. Personally, I achieved a remarkable record in Week 7. After both of us going 12-2 in Week 6, I managed to improve to 13-2 in Week 7, while Simms slipped to 12-3. Against the spread, I stood at 12-3, while Simms recorded 9-5. To sum it up, I’m currently 25-4 over the last two weeks, with Simms following closely at 24-5.

Vikings (-2.5) at Rams

This game poses a significant challenge for the Vikings, especially coming off a tough match against the Lions just four days prior. If they win, the Rams may need to rethink their decision regarding Cooper Kupp or any other potential trade.

Eagles at Bengals (-2)

Both teams seem to have found their rhythm after securing victories against the Giants and Browns. The Bengals have a solid chance to hit .500, and it’s difficult to envision them letting this opportunity slip by.

Ravens (-8.5) at Browns

The original Browns are back in action, and they boast a modern-day Jim Brown in the backfield, accompanied by a quarterback who outshines any the Browns have had since the days of Otto Graham.

Florio: Ravens, 42-20. Simms: Ravens, 27-14.

Titans at Lions (-11)

This matchup could turn ugly for the Titans.

Florio: Lions, 41-17. Simms: Lions, 31-17.

Colts at Texans (-5)

The Texans must not squander their lead in the early part of the season for the AFC South.

Packers (-4) at Jaguars

With a short week and a long trip, plus Tua’s return, it’s a tough mix for the Cardinals.

Jets (-7) at Patriots

A clash between two struggling teams, “low energy” versus “soft,” makes for an intriguing matchup.

Florio: Jets, 23-17. Simms: Jets, 27-17.

Falcons (-2.5) at Buccaneers

Saints at Chargers (-7)

The Saints are outmatched until Derek Carr makes his return.

Bills (-3) at Seahawks

This game is likely to go either way, especially with DK Metcalf sidelined for Seattle and Amari Cooper for the Bills in the mix.

Panthers at Broncos (-9.5)

Rookie Bryce Young has a tough road ahead as he faces a formidable defense in Denver.

Chiefs (-10) at Raiders

The Chiefs have yet to encounter defeat since the Raiders last visited Arrowhead last Christmas.

Bears (-2.5) at Commanders

The absence of Jayden Daniels (if he can’t play due to a rib injury) will have a significant impact on the Commanders.
